Everything in your inbox wants something from you.

This arrives in your mailbox and wants nothing.

A monthly envelope including a limited edition fine art print, travel story, and recipe — from one artist who paints, cooks, wanders, and pays attention.

A TASTE OF THE VOICE

"He speaks of layers that must dry slowly. Of minerals that refuse to be rushed. Of waiting as part of the mark-making. I understand now that much of what I do in my own art is my own halting version of that slow worship."

- From the studio, on making, faith, and the slow materials

WHY PHYSICAL

The screen wants something. The letter wants nothing.

There is no shortage of things to read. What is rare is something worth keeping. Something that arrived by post, that has weight and texture, that was made by a person who thought about what you might hold in your hands.

This is slow media in a fast world. One letter. Once a month. Yours to keep.

Testimonials — Unhurried Letters

I can't explain it but your writing really resonates with me. Taking care of my dad, watching him decline, his passing a few months ago at 94 — so very painful. And now, finally seeing some sun and painting again. I would love to read a whole book of your musings.

I look forward to your travel cards. Your reflections are thought-provoking in a timeless recognition of how cultural differences can be empowering. I am taking more time to appreciate each moment through color, sound, scent, texture, and joy. You create vicarious enjoyment for countless souls.

What This Is Really For

You already know you move too fast. You don't need anyone to tell you that.

What you might need is permission. Proof that the life you've been meaning to live, slowly, beautifully, on your own terms, is available to you right now. Not when you finally have time. Not when things slow down. Now.

This envelope is not going to transform your life. Twelve envelopes can't do that. But they can give you twenty minutes, once a month, that belong entirely to you. They can remind you what it feels like to stop.

The first one arrives. You keep it. The twelfth arrives and you have a small stack on your shelf — visible proof of a year of choosing yourself.

Who Makes This

My name is Tim O'Neill. I'm an artist, writer, and workshop facilitator. I paint, I cook, I wander, and I pay attention.

These letters come from wherever I happen to be, a market in Portugal, a café in Italy, a quiet afternoon in Nebraska. Every piece is assembled by hand before it goes in the mail. This is not a company. It's a practice.

If you've ever felt like you're watching your life instead of living it, these letters are for you.

FAQ — Unhurried Letters

What's Inside

Every envelope contains four things: a travel letter printed on linen paper, a 5×7 limited edition fine art print (hand-signed), a regional recipe card from wherever the story took place, and a 4×6 art postcard you can keep or send. Four things to hold. Twenty minutes to stop.
Each print is a limited edition 5×7 reproduction of an original painting, hand-signed by Tim. They are inspired by the place featured in that month's letter — not generic travel imagery. Because they're limited and tied to a specific letter, they won't be reprinted or sold separately.
The letters come from wherever Tim happens to be — a market in Portugal, a café in Italy, a quiet afternoon in Nebraska. They are written in personal voice at a specific place, unhurried pace. Not travel writing as a genre. More like a letter from a friend who pays attention.
A regional recipe from wherever the story took place, printed on a card with art on the back. Something you could actually cook. Something to keep on your counter or pin to your wall.

Envelopes ship on the last day of each month for the following month — so the April letter ships on or around March 28th, the May letter ships on or around April 30th, and so on. Each piece is assembled by hand before it goes in the mail. This is not a company running a fulfillment center — it's a practice, assembled carefully, and sent with intention.
Get in touch directly. Lost or damaged envelopes will be resolved — either with a replacement where available, or a credit toward your subscription. The goal is for something to arrive in your hands in good condition, always.
